OBJECTIVES OF RWANDA WILDLIFE CLUBS

 

INTRODUCTION:

RWC is a national environmental and wildlife conservation organization, which puts much emphasis on environmental education, reforestation and agroforestry promotion and execution, it also deals with tourism promotion in the country. It’s spearheading environmental conservation education in the country through the formation of Wildlife/Environment Clubs in schools and higher institutions of learning.


OVER ALL MISSION:


To advocate and take positive national action on environmental and wildlife challenges.

MAJOR OBJECTIVES.

Ø To educate the population and ensure the sustainable social and economic use of the natural resources.

Ø To help the public in recognizing the value of conserving wildlife heritage and the environment.

Ø To Promote the scientific study of wildlife and environment.

Ø To Promote the realization of the cultural, recreation and economic values of Rwanda’s natural resources.

Ø To promote Reforestation, agrofestry, better method of farming and high value crops.

Ø To help in promoting and increasing Rwanda’s tourist attraction centers ad assist members visit them for educational purposes.

Ø Promotion of Cooperation with organizations having similar objectives both inside and outside Rwanda.
