| There is a great need to educate the population about the sustainable social and economic use of our natural ressounces. The environmental awareness programmes must be encouraged so that the population can well understand the use of protecting the environment and conserving our wildlife heritage. Tourist attractional centers must be identified .The National parks should be protected from poachers and fire that would kill the animals or force them to free the parks. The wetlands must be protected and both afforestation and reafforestation programmes should be carried out through out the country and each province and communes. It should be noted that soil erosion has led to low and poor production. This is due to rampert unneccessary bush burning and cutting of trees without repracement. This has seriously led to washing away of top fertile soil. Terraces and more planting of trees should be promoted in all areas of the country. The 1990, war led to the destruction of many trees and killing of many animals. Aready many animals have deserted the Akagera National park due to the war and the eventual resetlementof returnees. This has not only reduced the revenue from the tourim sector but also the extiction of wildlife spieces. The population must be told about the impotance of trees as rain makers, water catchments, protecting of the soil from soil erosion and provision of fruits, etc. There is a great need for the promotion of the scientific study of wildlife and environment. Without the conscious environmental awereness and promotion of pride for our wildlife heritage, poverty eradication would be a radiating dream that would never come true.
Its because of the above and many more that RWC was neccessary to be formed and join hands with all far sighted Rwandans in helping solving the environmental and wildlife problems in the country.
